These hex bars are supplied in the solution annealed and quenched condition. The balanced 50/50 austenite-ferrite structure combined with 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 0.28% nitrogen provides total immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, superior erosion-corrosion resistance, and outstanding tensile strength above 795 MPa.
Super duplex hex bars are broadly specified for offshore drilling platforms, subsea choke valves, marine propulsion fasteners, sour oil & gas wellheads, reverse osmosis desalination pumps, and harsh chemical reactors where equipment failure is not an option.
